Description: Course addresses theories of risk society and their relationship to concepts of culture, gender, security, and human rights-based social movements. It addresses contemporary reorganizations of domestic, cultural, and geopolitical space and also examines the increasingly intense discussions surrounding 'cultures' of fear, risk, safety, civility, governance, biopolitics, and rights.
