Description: An introduction to the emerging field of bioinformatics. A series of lectures, combined with hands-on exercises. The topics to be discussed include sequence comparison, structure analysis, phylogenetics, database searching, microarrays and proteomics. Recommended prerequisite(s): BIOS 301 or permission of instructor.
