Description: Research seminar on the relationship between science (conceived broadly) and religion throughout western history. Course will examine both cooperation with and competition between science and religion including topics such as rational and spiritual medicine in ancient Greece, the medieval scientia of theology, the trial of Galileo, natural theology, and Darwinsim.
