Description: Examination of the basic principles of drawing and representation, with emphasis on studio practice, art history, and theory. Includes categories of representation (e.g., still life, landscape, and figure) and the process of making drawings, as well as related readings, group discussions, and writing assignments. Space in studio classes is limited. Registration does not guarantee a place in class. The class roster is formulated on the first day of class by the individual instructor.
