Description: Students are expected to understand modern dance as a unique dance form with similarities and differences to ballet/jazz. Students will also learn the basic techniques of modern dance, which include: basic body alignment, neuromuscular coordination, rhythmic accuracy, movement memory, spatial skills, use of energy, and performing skills. Counts toward graduation requirement.
