Description: Plasma physics of the earth's magnetosphere, including interactions of the magnetosphere with the solar wind, the ionosphere, and the neutral atmosphere. The emphasis is on large-scale physics, but small scale waves and instabilities are discussed in some detail in cases where they affect the large-scale phenomena.
