Description: Introduction to differential and integral formulations, variational principles, weighted residuals, and principle of virtual work. Simple boundary, initial, and eigenvalue problems. Finite element, boundary element, and finite difference methods for structural mechanics. Study of nonlinearities. Computational methods for geometric and material nonlinear analysis.
