Survey of American women's history examines the lives of black, Asian American, Chicana, Native American, and white women, and traces changes in women's legal, political, and economic status form the Civil War to the present. Topics include suffrage, anti-lynching, welfare, birth control, and the modern civil rights and feminist movements.
