Description: EUROPEAN WOMEN FILMMAKERS (MAPPING GERMAN CULTURE) ***** Filmmaking has celebrated its first hundred years. Women's contributions were significant and deserve to widen the film canon for all filmgoers. The course will concentrate on films by European women directors, taking into account aesthetic particularities, gender commitment, and post- feminist attempts. Importance will also be given to the contexts and conditions of women's film production. All films are subtitled in English.
