Description: SOCIAL STATISTICS ***** Emphasizes the practical uses of statistics to answer the types of questions sociologists ask. We learn sample description, sampling and probability, sampling theory, and how to make inferences from samples to populations. We study and apply common univariate, bivariate, and multivariate statistics. Because most statistical analysis is done with the aid of computers, we also learn how to use a common statistical package. ***** Enrollment is limited to 20.
