Description: TWENTIETH CENTURY U.S. CULTURAL HISTORY ***** "Understanding September 11: History and Culture as context". This course examines the events of September 11 in broad historical and cultural perspective. Drawing on several scholarly traditions, each week's readings will focus on a different theme important to understanding September 11, its roots in and resonances with the past, and its significance for the future. ***** Enrollment limited to 15.
