Description: This course will introduce the various options for financing startups (angel investors, crowdfunding, venture capital). The course will provide an overview of the entrepreneurial finance and venture capital industry, the organization and operation of venture capital funds, investment methodology use by seed and early stage investors, term sheets and contracts, monitoring, and exit and liquidation. The course will discuss how different business models fit to different types of investment, how investor incentives affect their investment choices, and how contractual terms can impact entrepreneurs. Course is taught either 1st or 2nd Half of Full Term. Repeatable for Credit.
