Description: Traces the evolution of anti-Jewish sentiments spawning images of Jews as misanthropic, cannibalistic, conniving, evil, blood-sucking, filthy, conspiratorial, devil-consorts, anti-Christs, and Christ-killers in Greco-Roman, Christian, Muslim, and secular culture. Studies the development of anti-Jewish rhetoric and persecution and their transformation into modern anti-Semitism. Counts toward the Jewish Studies minor. Cross-list: RELI 287.
