Description: Class members will research the development of programmable DSP architectures over the last twenty five years, studying trends in architecture, the development of tools to support the programming and debug, and the role of semiconductor technology in their development. We will also consider key market forces driving their development. Finally class members will guide and engage in discussion of this history. We will also have guest speakers. finally the class members will collaborate to develop a report on the possible future of DSP architectures for the next twenty five years.
