Description: This course will introduce selected lives from St. Anthony to St. Francis of Assissi which will be read in Latin; grammar review, as necessary. Focus will be on continuity and change in the Hagiographic tradition and representation of saint in relation to community. Intermediate Level Latin. Substaintail research paper treating a vita in its historical context. Cross-list: RELI 554, Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: LATI 205. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for LATI 505 if student has credit for LATI 205.
