Description: Introduction to structural dynamic systems. Linear SDOF and MDOF discrete systems, undamped and damped systems, free and forced vibration, dynamic response to periodic and arbitrary excitations, numerical evaluation of dynamic response, response spectrum and modal analysis Applications using MATLAB. Demonstrations and laboratory examples. Graduate/Undergraduate Equivalency: CEVE 576. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for CEVE 476 if student has credit for CEVE 576.
