Description: Volcanism is the manifestation of dynamic processes in the Earth's interior. This course provides an introduction to the physical processes governing volcanic eruptions and associated magmatic processes, including: magma generation and accumulation; magma chambers; fluid mechanics of volcanic eruptions; magmatic gases; eruption styles and deposits. A field trip may be required.
