Description: Designed to accompany CEVE 203 and 401, this course covers basic statistics needed for data reduction, including curve fitting and calculation of confidence intervals. Most common measures of water quality are performed including pH, alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, and spectroscopic methods. Students will do extractions of trace contaminants from soils and water and measure the concentrations of organic compounds and heavy metals.
