Description: Cinema, psychoanalysis, modern painting opened a new way of looking at images. This seminar, based on references to Bergson, Sartre, Merleau-Ponty, Foucault, Barthes, Lyotard, Derrida, Deleuze, Castoriadis, Dagognet, etc... will explore the philosophical and aesthetical problems related to the role and power of images and to the relationships between the visual and the textual, including through paintings and films.
