Description: This course gives an overview of the critical issues in the design of high performance VLSI circuits. This course focuses on the modeling and design automation of high performance CMOS circuits. The course covers scaling trends in CMOS technologies, interconnect modeling, power modeling, noise in digital CMOS circuits, high-performance CMOS design methodologies, model order reduction techniques, high performance clock distribution design, electro migration effects and power distribution.
