Description: Seminar will discuss characteristics of the Crusades against Muslim, Jews, pagans, Mongols, heretics, schismatics, and political enemies and explore to what extent the concepts of "holy war" and new expressions of religious beliefs impacted fundamentalism creating new possibilities for globalization in medieval Europe.
