CHEM 413 - NUCLEAR MAGN RESONANCE IN CHEM

Long Title: NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE IN CHEMISTRY
Department: Chemistry
Grade Mode: Standard Letter
Course Type: Lecture
Credit Hours: 3
Description: The intent of this course is to give the student a working knowledge of the applications of modern multi-dimensional NMR in Biology, Chemistry, and Physiology. The theoretical and fundamental principles of both nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) will be covered. Application of both technologies to a number of valuable analytical and diagnostic tools, including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), diffusion tensor imaging (tractography), hyperpolarization, and high precision anatomical imaging, among others, will be presented.
