Description: Greek natural philosophy was the first form of "philosophy" to arise. It challenged the prevailing mythical and religious explanations of the universe and aimed to give an account of all realities (the cosmos, inanimate, "nature", living things and humans). The course will consider the stages of natural philosophy, through its history to Aristotle. Credit may not be received for both HIST 392 and HIST 492.
