Description: Advanced intermediate course, designed to familiarize students with the language of print and broadcast media with a focus on news media. Students will learn strategies and tactics applicable to newspaper reading and skills essential for understanding news broadcasting. Introduction to Classical Chinese discourse as related to modern Chinese media discourse also included. Recommended prerequisite(s): Ability to write 800 characters assumed.
