Description: This course will present the art and architecture of Greece, Asia Minor, and Southern Italy (Magna Graecia) from the Bronze Age through the Hellenistic period (ca 2000-30 B.C.). It will consider development of the classical orders in architecture, innovations with painting and sculpture, and the cultural and political significance of art in ancient Greek society.
