Description: Seminar explores the nexus of religion and violence as it appears in sacred traditions, as it played out historically, and as it occurs in the contemporary world. Discussions and readings include sociological, psychological, philosophical, and political approaches to religion itself, to violence in general, and particularly religious violence.
