Description: THE AGE OF MONTEVERDI ***** A study of opera history from the beginning of the seventeenth Century through Mozart's early works of the 1770's. We will consider literary sources, versification, musical forms, and the periodic "reforms" within the first two centuries of opera. ***** Enrollment limited to 15.
