Description: PROBABILISTIC STRUCTURAL DYNAMICS ***** Introduction to probability theory and random processes. Includes the dynamic analysis of linear and nonlinear structural systems subjected to stationary and nonstationary random excitations reliability studies related to first excursion and fatigue failures, and applications to earthquake engineering, offshore engineering, and wind engineering. ***** Also offered as CEVE 523. ***** Prerequisite(s): MECH 412 or CEVE 521 and basic knowledge of probability theory. ***** Instructor(s): Staff
