Description: IMAGES OF CONTEMPORARY FRANCE ***** The course will deal with the sociopolitical and intellectual history of post-war France. We will cover the advent of the Fifth Republic, decolonization, May '68 and political dissent, modernization and the postmodern condition, and France and the construction of Europe.
