Description: SOCIETY AND CRISIS: POLITICAL CULTURE IN THE WEIMAR REPUBLIC (MAPPING GERMAN CULTURE) ***** Born in political and social crisis, the Weimar Republic exemplifies the possibilities and limits of modern democracy. This seminar focuses on original documents of political thought, literature, the visual arts, society, and law to explore the political culture of Germany's first, ill-fated democracy.
